Hello
How to Get to San Diego in
Less than an Hour

"It all starts with a SMILE"
A woman in Knoxville, TN discovered how got get to San Diego in
less than one hour. With no lines, no crowds, and no rest stop
meals! Wanna know how she did it? Stay tuned dear reader,
stay tuned...
Today's newsletter is all about getting to where you want to be
in life. And having the things you want to have. And guess
what? Humor is going to help you do that better than anything
else.
Let's use a metaphor. In this metaphor you live in
Knoxville. "Knoxville" represents where you are now
(emotionally, mentally, and/or physically). Not necessarily a
bad place, but a place you want to outgrow or move away from.
Living in "Knoxville" isn't getting you what you want out of
life. And you know that paradise awaits you in San
Diego! "San Diego" represents where you want to be
(emotionally, mentally, and/or physically).
So you start your journey to "San Diego." But on the way
to "San Diego" you need to take a detour through "Des
Moines." "Des Moines" represents the unexpected twists and
turns that your life will always take!
That's why my Smile Strategy, Expect the Unexpected, is so
important to you on your trip to "San Diego."
You see...in a real-life car trip you wouldn't get discouraged
and quit when you had to stop in Des Moines. You would know
that Des Moines is simply a temporary delay. And, perhaps, a
necessary one too.
But in your metaphorical journey, you get really freaked out if
you have to stop in "Des Moines" when you're heading for "San
Diego." Why is that? Because you forgot to Expect the
Unexpected, of course!
I'd like to add that believing that Des Moines is not where
you're supposed to be is a choice you've made. Just as
believing that "Des Moines" is a good and necessary place
(right where you're supposed to be) is also a choice.
And the later is all about telling your own story rather than
having your story dictated to you by "what is." There is
no "what is!"
There is only what you believe. You will always see and
experience what you believe. That's why it's best if you can
find excitement and humor in "Des Moines." But you can, at
least, allow humor to help you find the next better feeling
about "Des Moines" that's available to you.
You can "Expect the Unexpected" and find joy in it. The Fun
Factor can help you learn to love "Des Moines", warts and all.
And once "Des Moines" is wonderful it's not "Des Moines"
anymore. "Des Moines" has become "San Diego!" That's how
humor works for you: You don't go to "San Diego"; where you are
becomes "San Diego."
See? I promised I'd teach you how to travel from Knoxville to
San Diego in an instant! You don't need a airplane ticket; all
you need to do is get out your copy of The Fun Factor and
practice!

Some Humor to Help You Smile
A bear walks into a bar. He spies a cute she-bear standing by
the bar. So he walks up and says, "Hey babe. What's
ursine?"
This 1 foot tall guy walks into a massage parlor wearing a
viking helmet a belt while holidng a hammer and a lightning
bolt in his hands. The receptionist looks at him and says, "Can
I help you?" "Yes," he replies, "I'm a little Thor."
