The Fun Times - Why Having Bad Aim is Good

Hello

Why Having Bad Aim is Good

"It all starts with a SMILE"

Whether you're of a Christian faith or not, you've undoubtedly
heard the term "sin."

You've probably also heard that, translated literally from the
Coptic Greek in which it was written, the word "sin" means to
"miss the mark." As in an archer with bad aim missing a target.

The early Christian concept of sin most likely referred to, many
scholars believe, the seeming inclination for humans to often
act out of accordance with love and good will.

"Humans will miss the mark when they are not in touch with love
and good will" is a way to interpret the term "sin", the way it
was written in the original Greek.

This is an important perspective for us on at least two accounts.

First - when you are allowing healthy humor to flow through you,
you are in a state of love, good will, and acceptance. The
gentle good nature of healthy humor, and the smile it allows
you to authentically wear, comes from a self-acceptance and
self-love which is your nature state of being. So, when you are
allowing healthy humor to flow, you are definitely hitting the
mark!

The original Christians would be proud of you!

Second - humor, by it's very nature, is all about missing the
mark. In an odd paradox, by allowing humor to flow through you
today, you are accepting and acknowledging that missing the mark
is a natural part of life. You, nor anyone else, is expected to
be perfect! We all miss the mark sometimes and, with healthy
humor in your life, you are not only able to find a smile in
that fact but you are also able to capitalize on that fact to
add still more humor to your life.

Since acknowledging and accepting a negative is universally
recognized as the first step in overcoming it, you're already
miles ahead!

You've already found that missing the mark is not only something
you should expect, buy you've also learned that finding the
gentle humor in it is your first (and best) step in moving past
it. You smile and accept your imperfections rather than beat
yourself up them.

Missing the mark will always be part of your life, but with your
humor nature it will never have to become your state of being
nor hold you back. Spread the good news today with your smile!
